Originally written for Samantha Power's "Law, Politics, and Policy of Social Change" course at HLS, this paper explores the tragedy of female infanticide in India. Samantha Power was the 19th Administrator of USAID, which was the world’s largest bilateral development agency with a global staff of over 11,000 across more than 100 countries. Previously, Ms. Power served in the Obama-Biden Administration as the 28th US Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

In this mock brief I co-authored with Jack Schlossberg, we zealously advocate for our (fictional) client Archibald Hark in light of newly discovered evidence. Jack is the Democratic candidate in New York's 12th congressional district in the 2026 U.S. House of Representatives election, and is the only grandson of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States.
